Diversity and inclusion (D&I) training is often approached with haste as a reactionary measure designed to quickly enhance an organization’s reputation. However, a quick approach to D&I training can actually do more harm than good. In short, haste indeed makes waste without careful and intentional planning that ensures the valuable resources invested in training such as time, energy and money yield substantive results.

It is imperative to ensure that college students are supported to step into this potential new reality of a virtual workplace. As we see more organizations embrace temporary work from home policies for current employees as a way to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we’re likely seeing the transition to a paradigm shift that involves more virtual work.
